PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage to a step-up regulator caused by the bad connection of a capacitor. SOLUTION: This regulator damage preventing system is equipped with a pulse signal output means which outputs a pulse signal, an integrating circuit which is composed of a resistor and a capacitor for removal of the noise of a step-up regulator and into which the pulse signal is to be inputted, and a judging means which monitors the output voltage of the integrating circuit before operation of the step-up regulator and judges whether the connection of the capacitor is normal or not from the output voltage.
