PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing method to output image data which have cleared an influence of a characteristic of an image output means. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a read apparatus 101 to input the image data, an image data processing portion 115 to apply the image processing to the image data input from the read apparatus 101, a CPU 110 to control the image data processing portion 115, a memory 108 to store the image data image-processed by the image data processing portion 115, and a plotter 102 constituted detachably to print-output the image data stored in the memory 108.
