PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high speed, by increasing the number of pixels processed at once, and reducing processing time while a hit ratio of cache processing is ensured, by reducing the number of print output colors, enforcing linkage of colors of adjoining pixels, and processing two or more pixels as a summarized pixel group. SOLUTION: A decrease color value computation unit for seeking a decrease color value from an input pixel group, a cache table for referring color conversion table and storing the output pixel group after conversion, and a control means for comparing the current decrease color value and the decrease color value stored in the cache table are provided. In the control means, the current decrease color value and the decrease color value stored in the cache table are compared. If they are judged as different, a converted value is generated by referring the color conversion table, and the current decrease color value and the decrease color value are compared, and if they are in agreement, the output pixel group stored in the cache table is generated.
