LOCK MECHANISM AND INFORMATION RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism without restricting operation, by substantially restraining leakage of information possessed by an information recorder; and the information recorder having this lock mechanism. SOLUTION: This lock mechanism 10 of a DVD publisher 1 has an electric lock 8 and a mechanical lock 9 for preventing a theft and the leakage of a DVD 20 and information recorded on the DVD 20. The electric lock 8 can be unlocked for releasing a lock when personal authentication data using a preregistered personal organism coincides with inputted personal authentication data.
