PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous adhesive composition having excellent adhesion to a polyolefin resin-based material and excellent in water resistance, storage stability, safety and environmental properties. SOLUTION: The adhesive composition comprises (A) a resin emulsion, (B) acrylamine polymer emulsion and (C) polyvinyl alcohol containing an acetoacetyl group. A preferable embodiment is an adhesive composition comprising 0.1-10 wt. parts of acrylamine polymer emulsion (B) in terms of a solid content and 0.1-5 wt. parts of polyvinyl alcohol containing an acetoacetyl group in terms of a solid content (C) relative to 100 wt. parts of the resin emulsion (A) in terms of a solid content.
