PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a reconstructed skin model having a barrier function similar to that of normal human epidermis and improved ceramid profile. SOLUTION: A culture medium for a reconstructed epidermis or a skin equivalent is supplemented with at least one derivative of ceramid 7 and/or 5.5 introduced into the culture medium and/or a composition containing a lamellar lipid vesicle as a base and supplemented with at least one derivative of ceramid 7 and/or 5.5 is topically applied to the reconstructed epidermis or a skin equivalent. The derivative of ceramid 7 and/or 5.5 used in the invention is expressed by formula (I) (X is a hydrogen atom or hydroxy group; n is 19-29; and m is 9-19). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
