摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely discriminate a pitch mark as a standard of a length cutting position without specifying a mark element number or a two-dimensional shape of the pitch mark. SOLUTION: This pitch mark 4 is imparted by printing of a black color having lowest brightness as compared with a base color of the traveling corrugated cardboard sheet 1 and a color of a pattern 3. This detection device is provided with a unidimensional CCD camera 12 to continuously photograph a visual field S of a width direction of the corrugated cardboard sheet 1 including a portion imparted with the pitch mark 4. An image processing for ranking an output of an image photographed by the camera 12 by a numerical value corresponding to brightness is performed. A threshold value on a dark side corresponding to the black color is preliminarily set to the numerical value of the ranked output. When a portion of the output having the threshold value or less exists at each width direction portion of the image, the traveling direction position of the corrugated cardboard sheet 1 corresponding to the image is detected as an imparted position of the pitch mark 4.
