PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active water making method capable of sufficiently activating water even under a water pressure of about 0.3-0.5 MPa even if water is not injected to tourmaline within a cartridge, and an active water making apparatus. SOLUTION: In the active water making apparatus 1b, water to be treated is passed through an ion exchange resin filled bed 110 filled with an ion exchange resin and a tourmaline filled bed 120 filled with tourmaline crystals in succession and subsequently passed through a granite porphyry filled bed 130. Since the tourmaline crystals are used in the tourmaline filled bed 120 as tourmaline may be present in a stationary state within the horizontally placed cartridge 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
