FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two-rotor compressors and vacuum pumps. Proposed two-rotor compressor contains aluminum housing with bearing covers which accommodates aluminum rotors. Synchronizing helical gears are fitted on steel shafts of rotors from one side. Shafts of rotors are furnished with fixed supports from one side and floating supports from other side. One of synchronizing helical gears is located at fixed support, and the other, at floating support. ^ EFFECT: improved rating of two-rotor compressor owing to decrease of preliminarily designed profile clearances between rotors and use of aluminum alloy as high technology structural material. ^ 2 dwg
