<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for correcting an image to an appropriate image highly precisely by emphasizing a characteristic value of a face area which is highly likely to be a major subject even when a plurality of face areas can be detected in an image. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with: a face area characteristic value operating means 102 for calculating a face area average characteristic value from a face area included in inputted original image data; and a face area characteristic value correction amount calculating means 111 for calculating a face area characteristic value correction amount on the basis of a deviation between the calculated face area average characteristic value and preset target characteristic value. The face area characteristic value operating means 102 calculates as a face area average characteristic value a weighted average characteristic value obtained by weighting each average characteristic value of the plurality of face areas included in the original image data by each occupation area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
