<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for efficiently create a template of a layout intended by a user, its control method, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: An information processor acquires an electronic document selected on the basis of a user's selecting operation from a plurality of kinds of electronic documents which are stored on a storage medium and have layout information of objects that are constituent elements of the electronic document itself.
