<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the controller of a hybrid electric car for preventing deterioration in the sense of driving feeling by securing necessary driving force, even when the output of a motor is limited. <P>SOLUTION: The driving force of an engine 2 and the driving force of a motor 6 can be transmitted via an automatic transmission 8, having a plurality of forward transmission stages to a driving wheel 16 of a vehicle; and when a predetermined status such that it is difficult for the motor 6 to output upper limit torque predetermined as the output maximum torque is detected, an automatic transmission 8 is controlled, by using a control map where down-shift corresponding to the change of the operating conditions of the vehicle is performed relatively early, and upshift, corresponding to the change in the operating conditions of the vehicle, is performed later, in comparison with a speed change map to be used when the predetermined status is not detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
