<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrogen oxide adsorbing material which exhibits satisfactorily high adsorptivity of nitrogen oxide when the temperature of a gas is low and from which the adsorbed nitrogen oxide is desorbed satisfactorily when the temperature of the gas is high and to provide a method for manufacturing the nitrogen adsorbing material efficiently and a method for removing nitrogen oxide by using the nitrogen oxide adsorbing material. <P>SOLUTION: The nitrogen oxide adsorbing material comprises at least one kind of zeolite selected from the group consisting of ZSM-5 zeolite, beta zeolite and ferrierite zeolite and iron deposited on the zeolite.
