NITROGEN OXIDE ADSORBING MATERIAL, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR REMOVING NITROGEN OXIDE BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrogen oxide adsorbing material which exhibits satisfactorily high adsorptivity of nitrogen oxide when the temperature of a gas is low and from which the adsorbed nitrogen oxide is desorbed satisfactorily when the temperature of the gas is high and to provide a method for manufacturing the nitrogen adsorbing material efficiently and a method for removing nitrogen oxide by using the nitrogen oxide adsorbing material.

SOLUTION: The nitrogen oxide adsorbing material comprises at least one kind of zeolite selected from the group consisting of ZSM-5 zeolite, beta zeolite and ferrierite zeolite and iron deposited on the zeolite. The amount of iron to be deposited on the zeolite by ion exchange as a paramagnetic ferric ion is ≥1.0 mass% of the whole carrier in terms of metals.
