<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing mechanism for a keyboard lid that can smoothly open and close the keyboard lid with a simple structure and make a musical instrument case compact. <P>SOLUTION: The opening/closing mechanism for the keyboard lid has a first guide section 15 which guides a front portion 12a of a front lid 12 backward along a keyboard part 2 when the keyboard lid 3 constituted by coupling the front lid 12 and a rear lid 13 by a hinge 14 is opened, and a second guide section 16 which guides a rear portion 13b of the rear lid 13 obliquely downward from behind the keyboard part 2 to raise the rear lid 13. Therefore, when the keyboard lid 3 is opened, the second guide section 16 guides the rear portion 13b of the rear lid 13 obliquely downward from behind the keyboard part 2 to raise the rear lid 13 while guiding the front portion 13a of the rear lid 13, so the keyboard lid 3 can smoothly be opened and closed while the second guide section 16 restricts lowering of the front portion 13a of the rear lid 13 and the rear portion 12b of the front lid 12.
