<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of partitioning easily an animation into a plurality of clip animations. <P>SOLUTION: An outline of a specified image element in an image frame is extracted when clipping-processed. A scene is determined to be changed when a variation of outline between the two fellow image frames is a prescribed threshold value or more.
