<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bonding coat to reduce the adverse influence on mechanical properties of a substrate of a gas turbine blade or the like in gas turbine engine components and an application method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The method for coating the substrate 30 generally includes application of a bonding coating material layer 32 including a compound of molybdenum silicate base and a compound of a silicon nitride base, on at least an outer surface of molybdenum group fireproof alloy base substrate or niobium group fireproof alloy base substrate, application of an inclined function material layer 34 including at least one of molybdenum silicate, mullite, silicon nitride, silicon carbide or tantalum oxide thereon, and further application of a thermal barrier coating layer 36 thereon. The mechanical properties, such as a coefficient of thermal expansion and fracture toughness, are improved by the coating composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
