PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress transmission noise in a wireless repeating apparatus which is provided between a radio base station device and a mobile unit and functions as a booster. SOLUTION: If no mobile unit exists under control of a wireless repeating apparatus 100, the gain of an uplink variable gain amplifier 108 is set to a bottom gain for operation. If no mobile unit exists under control, an uplink may also be turned off for operation.
