PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a power shortage takes place in some cases during execution of printing if the printing is started while charging of a sub-power source is not completed. SOLUTION: A printer of an inkjet system comprises (a) a main power source which is connected to a commercial power supply and supplies a first power to a printing head, (b) the sub-power source of a charging type which supplies a second power that compensates for the first power to the printing head when a power necessary for driving of the printing head exceeds the first power during execution of printing, (c) a switch part which is located on a feeding line of the power and electrically connects the sub-power source to the feeding line of the power when the power necessary for driving of the printing head exceeds the first power, (d) a charging state measuring part which measures a charging amount of the sub-power source at least before printing a next page is started, and (e) a printing starting controlling part which stops starting of printing of the next page by the printing head and charges the sub-power source during the time if the measured charging amount does not satisfy a reference value, and which permits starting of printing of the next page by the printing head when the measured charging amount satisfies the reference value.
