The single part dental implant comprises an enamel region (1) and a coronal region (2) together with an outer thread (3) and finished with a ceramic material. There is a concave recess (4) on the enamel region. The recess may have a rounded-off cross-section whilst the recess may be formed in an axial direction over the entire length of the enamel region and have a constant depth which is greater than the thread depth.
