PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy without decreasing the performance of a vehicle. In an A/C delaying process, the ECU 100 controls the compressor to a temporary standby state at the timing that the compressor should normally be operated, and performs the downshift control preferentially. If the downshift control makes the engine speed Ne higher than the F/C recovery engine speed increased by the operation of the compressor, the ECU 100 operates the compressor to continue air conditioning.
