PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce contents based on a playlist while protecting copyrights of ancillary data and contents generated from title contents even in a recording medium reproducing device having no copyright protection function. SOLUTION: A DVD recorder 100 is provided with: a playlist generation section 128 for generating a first playlsit defining the reproduction order of reproduction target title contents and including encrypted ancillary data and plaintext ancillary data, and generating a second playlist including only plaintext ancillary data corresponding to plaintext title contents among ancillary data corresponding to the reproduction target title contents; and a recording section 113 for recording the first and second playlists in a recording medium.
