PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack in which one of two contact pieces of a switching mechanism of a one-point butting contact system can demonstrate a switching function like a conventional one, the switching mechanism can be assembled in a small space, a component cost of the switching mechanism can be reduced, a jack size can be small, and a product price can be reduced. SOLUTION: The switching mechanism SW of a one point butting contact system is composed of a fixed contact piece 12 and a movable contact piece 13 using a cantilever leaf spring, arranged facing with each other in an outside of a plug inserting hole 2 so that they do not contact the plug P when the plug G is inserted and a separator 14 arranged in projection in the plug inserting hole 2 so that it is shifted by a pushing of the plug P when the plug is inserted. When the plug P is inserted, a shifting load is given on the movable contact piece 13 in its central part in a lengthwise direction and the movable contact piece 13 is bent with its base end as a fulcrum and its top end is made to contact the fixed contact piece 12, and the movable contact piece 13 is bent at its central part in a lengthwise direction with its top end as a fulcrum to give a contact pressure on a contact point.
