摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge apparatus hardly causing the clogging of a nozzle or the flying curve of a liquid body, a method of recovering a droplet discharge head, a thin film forming method, an oriented film forming method, a method of recovering a droplet discharge head for forming the oriented film, an oriented film forming apparatus and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The droplet discharge apparatus is provided with the droplet discharge head 20 for discharging the liquid body containing a functional material as droplets from a nozzle, a cap case 41 having a housing part 41a housing a part of the droplet discharge head 20 including at least a nozzle forming surface 26a, a pump 47 as a liquid supply means for supplying a liquid 50 to the housing part 41a and a moving means for relatively arranging the cap case 41 to the liquid discharge head 20 so that the nozzle forming surface 26a is dipped into the liquid 50 stored in the housing part 41a in the recovering action of the liquid discharge head 20 or the storage of the droplet discharge head 20 under pausing.
