PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device and program therefor in which a special effect can be applied in slide display. SOLUTION: When a slide show mode is set and a user specifies an arbitrary object from images of image data recorded in a flash memory 13 (Y in S4), based on image data of the specified object, feature information of the object is extracted (S5). Based on the extracted feature information, all image data containing the specified object are then selected from among the image data recorded in the flash memory 13. With the selected image data, slide display is then performed in the order from the oldest photographing date/time recorded in accordance with the selected image data (S7, S10).
