PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified epoxy resin suitable as a raw material for a structural adhesive and to provide a curable resin composition having excellent adhesiveness to a substrate, excellent flexibility within a wide temperature range from a low temperature to normal temperature and suitable as the structural adhesive. SOLUTION: The modified epoxy resin is obtained by reacting an aromatic polyglycidyl ether compound with a urethane prepolymer containing an isocyanate group and an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber. The curable resin composition comprises the epoxy resin and a latent curing agent. The automotive structural adhesive comprises at least the curable resin composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
