A support device for an elevator guide rail, having the elevator guide rail erected in a hoistway and guiding lifting and lowering of a car and a counterbalance weight; a bracket on the rail side, used to fix the guide rail to a hoistway wall; and a clip for installing and fixing flanges on both sides of the guide rail to the rail side bracket. The support device has a first rail clip provided on the rear face side of the rail side bracket and having at its forward end a hook section for installing together the car side flange of the guide rail and the rail side bracket in a sandwich manner and also has a second rail clip for fastening and fixing the flange of the guide rail, which is located on the hoistway wall side, to the rail side bracket, the flange being fastened and fixed together with the first rail clip, at the end on the opposite side of the hook section of the first rail clip. The dimension of a flat surface (lateral direction) of the rail side bracket, which dimensions are necessary to fix the guide rail, are reduced, and as a result, the dimensions in a plan view of the hoistway can be reduced. |
