Provided is an overflow device for a water tank, which can be prevented from receiving a baneful influence by the suction noise of an overflow pipe. The overflow device comprises a water storage part (52) storing the water (W) in the water tank, the overflow pipe (54) installed upright in the water storage part (52). The lower end opening of the overflow pipe (54) is opened to the bottom wall lower side of the water storage part (52) so that the water (W) stored in the water storage part (52) flows into the pipe (54) from the upper end opening therein and flows out from the lower end opening. The overflow device further includes a sound isolating cover (47) installed in the water storage part (52) and closing the entire area of the overflow pipe (54) above the water.
