<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printed matter which has high gloss and excellent feathering resistance and resistance to cockling and curling after printing. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet imaging method records an image on a recording medium with the help of an aqueous ink containing at least water and a pigment, and also, not less than 50 mass% to less than 90 mass%, as a gross volume, water-soluble organic solvent, for the total ink, and not less than 30 mass% water-soluble organic solvent, of the above water-soluble organic solvent, for the total ink, with 16.5(MPa)<SP>1/2</SP>to less than 24.6(MPa)<SP>1/2</SP>SP value. In this method, the recording medium is obtained by applying an aqueous coating fluid containing a water-dispersed emulsion to a paper base composed mainly of cellulose pulp and forming an ink absorption layer on the surface, of a support, to which a surface smoothing process is performed under pressure at not higher than the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the water-dispersed emulsion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
