<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor accompanied by consumable order work by selecting and setting an order method by a user in accordance with use conditions or environment. <P>SOLUTION: In this consumable control device, a CPU 1 detects the quantity of stock of consumables at current time. When the quantity of the stock becomes below the stock quantity as an order criterion included in consumable data stored in a database 12, the CPU 1 displays a message on a display part 5 indicating that the stock of the consumables is decreased so as to prompt the user to order the consumables. Alternatively, the CPU 1 performs automatic order by sending order data to a host computer of a supplier selling the consumables via a communications interface 2. Further alternatively, the CPU 1 sends a message indicating that the stock of the consumables is decreased to an e-mail address of the user stored in the database 12 beforehand so as to prompt the user to order the consumables. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
