METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND DISPLAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the fraction defective of a display apparatus by easily inspecting a wiring state only for a second display panel arranged on a first display panel in a step having manufactured the first display panel. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a display apparatus provided with first and second display panels 2, 3 includes: a step (1) of arranging first and second terminals on an outer peripheral edge part of one substrate of the first display panel and forming a plurality of exclusive lines for connecting between the first and second terminals on portions other than a display part; a step (2) of connecting the plurality of exclusive lines in series by respectively mutually connecting a plurality of first terminals and a plurality of second terminals by connection means; a step (3) of detecting the disconnection of the exclusive lines by applying a predetermined signal to both the ends of the plurality of exclusive lines connected in series; a step (4) of disconnecting the serial connection of the plurality of exclusive lines; and a step (5) of connecting a drive circuit to the one-end of the plurality of exclusive lines which are disconnected and connecting the second display panel to the other end.
