PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the temperature distribution of a fixing roller in the longitudinal direction uniform, without accompanying of deterioration in the heat efficiency. SOLUTION: To the fixing roller 1 which fixes an unfixed toner image 13 on a recording sheet 11, by heating and pressurizing it by pressure welding rotation with a pressure roller 3, a heat conducting object 5 constituted by alternately forming a high thermal conductivity part 17 and a lower thermal conductivity part 19 in the circumferential direction, by materials of different thermal conductivities on the periphery of a heat insulation layer 15 is abutted against.
