PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and precise finite rotation angle detector capable of reducing inertia moment of a rotation angle detecting plate in the finite rotation angle detector, allowing a high speed rotation operation, and capable of restraining labors and times required for assembling work or inspection for the rotation angle detecting plate, and a manufacturing method for the rotation angle detecting plate used therefor. SOLUTION: This finite rotation angle detector 1 is provided with a detecting part 6 for detecting a displacement of a finite rotation angle of a rotary shaft 12, that is a detected object, and for detecting a signal in response to the finite angle displacement of the finite rotation angle, and a signal processing part 7 for processing the signal from the detecting part 6 to output a signal in response to the displacement, and the rotation angle detecting plate for detecting the rotation angle of the finite rotation angle detector 1 is formed into a square rotation angle plate 2 constituted of a linear sides.
