The present invention relates to a system for measuring Brix degrees (°Bx), characterized in that it is composed of an infrared light emitter, alongside which there is an optical-glass cylindrical container which is preferably used for receiving the sample to be measured. Alongside the container is an infrared light receiver that makes it possible to detect the infrared light not absorbed by the sample. The electrical signal provided by the sensor is given as a voltage, and therefore use is made of a transducer for the purpose of direct conversion to a scale of Brix degrees or for converting it to an electrical signal within one of the instrumentation standards. |
