A drive apparatus for an electromagnetic drive type actuator (100) including a movable element (112), a fixed element (114, 116 and 160), a connection element (118 and 120), a magnetic field generation element (152, 154 and 156), and a drive coil (132), such that the movable element (112) is caused to oscillate by an interaction between a current flowing through the drive coil (132) and a magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generation element (152, 154 and 156), comprises: a drive signal supply element (212 and 214), which supplies to the drive coil a current signal with a periodic waveform that has a frequency substantially equal to a resonance frequency of the movable element (112) and whose current value is zero in a fixed period in one cycle; and an oscillation detection element (222, 224, 226 and 228), which detects an oscillation state based on a timing of a zero-cross point of a voltage waveform between both ends of the drive coil in a period corresponding to the period in which the current value is zero. <IMAGE> |
