The device has a spring force actuated door closer (2), and a propelable lock rod (3) for transmission of a clamping force of the door closer on the building door to be closed. The retaining element (5) is mechanically coupled with the lock rod over a joint (6), in such a manner that lock rod and retaining element are relatively positioned in different positions with non-locked joint, and are definable and are actuated relatively to each other by locking the joint. The lock rod is held over the retaining element with the retaining device (4) for enabling adjustment of pre-tensioned position. An INDEPDENT CLAIM is also included for a kit for formation of a door closing device.
