<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature operation type fuel cell system capable of reducing a temperature difference and a current difference between stacks to the differences within a tolerance limit, and also capable of enhancing efficiency and starting performance of the entire system. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of systems equipped with stacks (1-8) composed of one or more fuel cells, temperature measuring devices, and stack temperature control devices (11-18, 21-28, 31-38) are set. The systems are electrically parallel-connected with each other, and the stacks in the systems are disposed with a space mutually left between them.
