<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability by processing a protection sheet simultaneously with an operation for taking a process cartridge out of an apparatus body and thus avoiding user's forgetting to remove the protection sheet. <P>SOLUTION: When the process cartridge C is loaded in the image forming apparatus body 100 and transported in this state, the protection sheet 11 is put between a connector 12 provided to the apparatus body 100 and a contact part for the process cartridge C to protect the contact part, and when the image forming apparatus is used, the process cartridge C is taken out to remove the protection sheet 11 and loaded again to bring the connector 12 into contact with the process cartridge C. The image forming apparatus is provided with a connection part 40 which detachably connects the process cartridge and protection sheet 11, and the protection sheet 11 can be taken out through the connection part 40 together with the process cartridge C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
