<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control unit capable of reducing the capacity of a buffer provided before inputting to a decoder; and to provide a method for controlling the display control unit, an information reproducing unit, and electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The display control unit 10 includes: first to N-th reference frame buffers REF1-REFN for storing image data to which display time is set, the decoder 20 for referring to the image data of the first to N-th reference frame buffers for decode processing, an image data transfer instructor 42 for instructing the transfer of the image data, and an image data transfer control unit 44 for controlling the transfer of the image data of the first to N-th reference frame buffers to the display unit. The image data transfer instructor 42 instructs the transfer of the image data, where display time arrived, and instructs the transfer of the oldest image data in the first to N-th reference frame buffers when the decoding processing is completed to the image data of a current frame, and the first to N-th reference frame buffers are full. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
