PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device using a thin film type electron source having a structure of carrying out pixel separation in a self-aligning way. SOLUTION: A structure of bus wiring (scanning line) to supply power to the electron source is formed to be a laminated structure of the lower layer 17 composed of a CrMo alloy, an intermediate layer 18 composed of Al or an Al alloy, and an upper layer 19 composed of Cr successively from the side nearer to a cathode substrate 10. The CrMo alloy of the lower layer 17 contains 30 wt.% or more of Mo. By such a laminated structure, one side of the lower layer 17 can be processed to form undercut with respect to the intermediate layer 18. This undercut works as a pixel separation structure and carries out the pixel separation in the self-aligning way in sputtering the upper part electrode 13 of the electron source.
