PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cartridge that surely prevents the occurrence of troubles due to idle ejection or the like in the equipment side while suppressing a liquid amount remaining inside the liquid cartridge to the minimum. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 1 is composed so that a container body 3 mounted to an ink-jet printer is internally provided with a liquid storage chamber 5 for storing an ink liquid 4, a liquid supply hole 7 connected to a liquid receiving part 2a on the ink-jet printer side, a liquid channel 9 allowing the liquid storage chamber 5 and the liquid supply hole 7 to communicate with each other, and an ink end sensor 13 installed in the middle of the liquid channel 9 so as to detect the presence or the absence of the ink liquid 4 inside the liquid storage chamber 5. It is also composed so as to provide a buffer chamber 15, which enables supply of a fixed amount of the ink liquid after the ink end sensor 13 detects the liquid absence while storing the ink liquid 4 supplied to the liquid supply hole 7, in the liquid channel 9 on the downstream side of the ink end sensor 13.
