PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing method with higher safety for a mobile device. SOLUTION: A sensor for sensing the surroundings of a mobile device has a rotation mechanism of two or more axes providing repeated normal and reverse rotations over 180 degrees, and can thereby detect the surroundings of the mobile device without employing prediction even for the vicinity of the mobile device to detect obstacles on the course of the mobile device in real time.
