PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lens driving device which uses a voice coil type motor as a driving source. SOLUTION: The lens driving device is provided with: bases 10, 20; a cylindrical lens frame 30 which holds a lens G; two guide shafts 41, 42 fixed to the bases to guide the lens frame 30 in the light axis direction L; a coil 50 provided to the lens frame 30 and annularly formed; an annular magnet 60 provided to the base 20 and a york 70 formed like double cylinders forming the U-shaped cross section and having an inner cylindrical part 71 and an outer cylindrical part 72, wherein the two guide shafts 41, 42 are arranged in the outside of the coil 50, the magnet 60 and the york 70 in the radial direction perpendicular to the optical axis L, the coil 30 has engagement parts 34, 35 formed by being projected in the radial direction and freely slidably engaged into the two guide shafts. Thus, the device is reduced in radius in the radial direction perpendicular to the optical axis, thinned in thickness in the optical axis direction and the device is miniaturized as the whole.
