PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate defects caused by defective segmentation and static electricity of a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display panel includes a pasting process, a polarizing plate pasting process, and a segmentation process. The segmentation process includes: a color filter substrate side segmentation process for removing the polarizing plate 11u like a belt so as to correspond to an outer shape line of a level difference part at a posture that the glass substrate 102 used as a color filter substrate comes to the upper side and segmenting the glass substrate 102 along the area from which the polarizing plate is removed; an inversion process for making the posture that a glass substrate 101 used as a TFT substrate comes to the upper side as storing a glass substate segment 17 which is an unnecessary part generated by being divided at an original position; and a TFT substrate side segmentation process for peeling the polarizing plate 11 stuck to the glass substrate 101 to the whole are of the level difference part at the posture obtained by the inversion process to segment the glass substrate at a boundary with the liquid crystal display panel adjacent to the level difference part after the color filter substrate side division process.
