PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a combustion apparatus generating stable primary flame by improving a combustion apparatus carrying out two stage combustion. SOLUTION: The combustion device 1 has a premix member 2, a burner port member 3, and a pneumatic passage member 5. One intermediate member 6 is composed by fitting together the premix member 2 and the burner port member 3, and the intermediate member 6 is fit in between two pneumatic passage members 5. A first combustion part 46 is composed between the pneumatic passage members 5 to carry out primary combustion. Unburned components are discharged to an exterior from an opening of the first combustion part 46, and air is supplied from a tip of the pneumatic passage member 5 to generate secondary flame. An upstream side air discharge opening 5 is provided in the passage member, and the upstream side air discharge opening 5 is more to a base end side than a burner port forming part 30 of the burner port member. Air discharged from the upstream side air discharge opening 5 flows in a side face side of the burner port member 3. Flame is stabilized in a side face part of the burner port member 3 by the air.
