PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hydrophilizing a narrow channel, which can impart the surface to be treated of the narrow channel a hydrophilicity of 10 degrees or lower by a contact angle formed by a water droplet and the surface of the narrow channel. SOLUTION: The method for hydrophilizing the narrow channel is directed at hydrophilizing the surface to be treated of the narrow channel through which a fluid passes, and includes bringing the surface to be treated of the narrow channel in contact with a dry oxygen gas containing ozone of 0.2 to 30% by volume under treatment conditions of a temperature of 100 to 200°C and a period of 5 minutes to 60 minutes.
