PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a cutting operation, while surely holding a medium in wide area, to perform an exact cutting by even a small cutting device, to support whole of the medium on a flat supporting surface, to carry the whole of the medium as it is after the cutting, to recut a cut-out of a small piece and a medium. SOLUTION: This cutting device is provided with a medium tray 500 having a flat supporting surface 502 for supporting the sheet-like medium and a medium presser 506 for fixing the medium to the supporting surface 502, a carrying part 140 for carrying the medium tray 500 in a loaded state of the medium in a prescribed carrying direction, a cutting edge 132, and a cutting carriage 130 for cutting the medium by the cutting edge 132, while reciprocatively moving in parallel to the surface of the medium and in a direction crossing the carrying direction at a position opposed to the surface of the medium on the medium tray 500 carried by the carrying part 140.
