PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring molten steel temperature in a mold with which accurate temperature can be measured by removing a noise signal from an electromagnetic stirring device, from the output signal of a thermocouple. SOLUTION: In the method for measuring the molten steel temperature in the mold, the molten steel temperature in the mold is measured by the thermocouple 2, in a continuous casting apparatus provided with the electromagnetic stirring means 4 for stirring the molten steel in the mold by the electromagnetic power. the sampling range of the output signal 10 from the thermocouple 2 is decided in the range which becomes the integral multiple of the cycle of the electric current applied to the electromagnetic stirring means 4, and in the sampling range, the molten steel temperature in the mold is calculated by performing moving average calculation of the output signal 10 from the thermocouple 2.
