PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of detecting floating and peeling of recording media and preventing operation failure by correcting holding states of the recording media. SOLUTION: The image recording device 1 is provided with a suction device 9 for sucking and holding recording media 3 on which images will be recorded, by air suction; a drum rotating body 4 rotated in a main scanning direction X; and a control part 30 for controlling the suction device 9. The image recording device 1 is further provided with a detector 25 for detecting floating or peeling of the recording media 3 in an auxiliary scanning direction Y orthogonal to the main scanning direction X. When floating or peeling of the recording media 3 is detected by the detector 25, the control part 30 controls the suction device 9 so as to change the air suction amount.
