PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner protection material made of corrugated cardboard which does not require the application of an adhesive tape for assembly, enables an efficient and accurate assembly through one touch operation and is superior in a shock absorbing characteristic. SOLUTION: The basic form of this corner protection material made of corrugated cardboard is rectangular or strip shaped, comprising both right and left pieces which are foldable in two in the longitudinal direction to fit along both L-shaped end faces of the corner part of an item to be packed. Both ends of an end face wall at the center in the width direction are formed with a folding line to be mounted on the corner part by being folded in a U shape. The end face wall has the folding part foldable in two to be folded in an L shape with a U-shaped cross section. In order not to interfere with the folding in the L shape, both side walls are formed with an open part which closes allowing folding in the range of a rectangular equilateral triangle or a roughly rectangular equilateral triangle with the end of the folding part as a top.
