The method involves exchanging signals over a vehicle bus (20) by using a control device (24). Control information of an electrical machine (14) is transferred to another control device (22) of an internal combustion engine (12) over the vehicle bus. Angle and oscillation information regarding an amplitude and position of a center of gravity of oscillation at the electrical machine and time information regarding the occurrence of the oscillation are included in the control information.
